Athletes should be able to see what came in, what went out and what remains reserved. A dedicated account may simplify organization, even when a particular legal entity is not required.

Use consistent categories and attach documentation to transactions. Reconcile the account monthly, track unpaid invoices and confirm that deposits match contracts.

Bookkeeping records support decision-making but do not determine tax treatment. Entity choice and deductions require advice based on the athlete’s facts.
