Begin with the athlete’s reasons for considering a transfer. Separate problems that may improve through communication from structural issues such as academic fit, roster opportunity or coaching changes.
Build a comparison covering degree progress, credit transfer, scholarship terms, total cost, housing, medical care, development, role expectations, travel and support systems. Label compensation as confirmed, conditional or speculative.
Observe transfer rules and communication boundaries. No worksheet can guarantee an outcome; its purpose is to slow the decision down and make tradeoffs visible.
