A family game plan begins with athlete ownership. Record who may view opportunities, who can attend meetings and who can contact professionals. For an adult athlete, access is permission-based and revocable.
Add expectations for taxes, spending, privacy, social-media messages and support for relatives. Define a process for disagreement that gives the athlete time to make a decision without family pressure.
Review the plan after a major deal, transfer, change in representation or transition to professional sports. It is a conversation tool, not a legal contract.
