Families should ask every professional how they are compensated and whether they receive referral fees, commissions, sponsorship payments or other economic benefits from recommendations.

Disclose relationships with agents, universities, collectives, brands and service providers. A license or registration does not eliminate conflicts; it provides context families can verify.

Paid participation in a summit or directory must be labeled and should never automatically produce a recommended designation.
